R&D Agreements

Facilitating U.S.-Israel R&D Agreements

The USISTF supports the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) within the Ministry of Economy to expand R&D ties with the United States. The OCS in Israel is unlike any one institution in the United States. It offers the majority of industrial R & D funding to Israeli companies and has the authority to enter into international partnerships.

The OCS is the natural partner for U.S. states seeking to develop collaborative framework programs to encourage industrial partnerships between U.S. companies and Israel companies. These R&D agreements codify the R & D relationship between the OCS and a state designated institution that can run joint solicitations or offer rolling applications for U.S. and Israeli companies to apply for R & D funds to work towards a commercial product that will benefit both the U.S. State and Israel.
