In 1996, the USISTF provided $100,000 in funding to train over four hundred Israeli medical professional at the Ministry of Health. The project brought about the alignment of American and Israeli standards in the areas as Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

In 2003, the U.S.-Israel Science and Technology Foundation (USISTF) funded a pioneering project that would apply virtual reality (VR) to rehabilitation programs for survivors of terrorist attacks or those suffering post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

In November 2006, the USISTF worked closely with the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the Department of Energy to bring a high level representative to speak at the Conference on Renewable and Alternative Energy in Tel Aviv.

The USISTF worked with selected companies to implement a program of collaborative exchange and strategic partnering between the U.S. and Israeli companies.  A select group of Israeli companies were brought to the U.S. to be trained, mentored, and coached on product development, business strategy, and finding sources of U.S. capital.

In 2004-2005, the USISTF granted awards in the field of Information, Communications, Electronics and Dual Use Technologies (ICET).

In 2005, the USISTF awarded funding on homeland security and led an international conference on homeland security in Jerusalem. The first project identified five Israeli companies in the field of homeland security and trained them in business development for U.S. homeland security needs and market entry. The second project convened a workshop on homeland security issues, technologies and policies that are on the forefront of the U.S.’s international agenda.
