“Accelerating U.S. ‐ Israel Neuroscience & Neurotechnology Collaborations”
Wednesday, September 12, 2012 – 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
The National Academy of Sciences Building – 2100 C St. NW Washington, D.C. 20037
The human brain is the most complex object of study in the history of science. Brain research affects the lives of all human beings. The complexity of the brain creates significant challenges that requires a multidisciplinary effort by physicians, researchers, engineers, chemists, mathematicians and others, teaming up to search for new methods and more accurate diagnostics to enhance our understanding of basic brain functions. Recent advances in brain research, including developments in memory and brain training, will revolutionize outcomes for patients and bring significant benefits to society as a whole.
The U.S.-Israel Neurotechnology and Neuroscience Conference will bring together leading scientists from academia and industry to highlight recent developments in the study of brain function and brain disorders. Cutting edge technologies that will lead to breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders will be showcased, and opportunities for cooperation between companies and researchers in both countries will be explored.
