State of Wisconsin – State of Israel Joint RFP for Joint Project Proposals in All Areas of Technological Research

In November 2009, the Government of the State of Wisconsin and the Government of Israel entered into and Bilateral Cooperation Agreement in Private Sector Industrial Research And Development.  The U.S.-Israel Science and Technology Foundation is pleased to announce on behalf of MATIMOP (Israel Industry Center for Research and Development) the first joint RFP between the State of Wisconsin and the State of Israel.  This RFP is for joint project proposals in all areas of technological industrial research and development to develop new products, processes or services based on new innovative technologies with significant commercial opportunity in the global market.

Eligibility: Israeli and Wisconsin partners eligible to apply must be industrial entities which may be technologically and scientifically assisted by a non-industrial entity such as a university research institute.

Funding: Each partner will be financed separately by the States where they are located.  Israeli projects can be financed by the Office of the Chief Scientist up to 50% of eligible project costs which must be repaid if the project produced profits after commercialization.  Wisconsin projects are eligible for up to 50% project funding either in the form of tax credits or a low interest loan with deferred repayment schedules.
